Notes on Multiple 2025 WR's and a Transfer LB
- Dekaney 2025 four-star wide receiver Tanook Hines has seen his recruitment blow up to another level over the past couple weeks after he posted a wind legal 10.45 in the 100m and a 20.71 in the 200m at the UIL State Championships. This led to a Georgia offer followed by a whole lot of gained interest from schools who have already offered. He took an official visit to Arizona State on April 26th and has official visits scheduled to USC on May 31st, Notre Dame on June 7th, and Baylor on June 14th. In five games this past season he posted 528 yards and five touchdowns. As a sophomore he totaled 877 yards and eight touchdowns. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect has been a top priority for the Baylor staff since they offered in December. He then visited for Baylor's Junior Day and then scheduled his official visit so it is clear that the staff is making a strong push for one of the most dynamic players in the 2025 class.- Shadow Creek four-star wide receiver Jacorey Watson is looking to narrow down his list in the next week or so and is looking to make his commitment decision in early July following his official visits. It is not a guarantee that Baylor will make the cut but he has shown significant interest in the program since March so it will be something to keep an eye on. His high school brought in a new quarterback (JoJo Stewart) which means Jacorey Watson and Baylor commit Ashton Jones are set up to have massive senior seasons.- Marrero (LA) Archbishop Shaw 2025 four-star wide receiver Jacob Washington was offered last week by Dallas Baker and the staff. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect let me know that he does have interest in Baylor and will be locking in official visit news sometime next week. These can change but right now he is scheduled to take official visits to Georgia Tech, Missouri, and Mississippi State all in a row starting May 31st which means his open weekend is June 21st. Keep an eye on that date as a possible one for him to get to Waco. Despite the offer being late he let me know that he does have significant interest in the program. Washington holds offers from Duke, Boston College, Houston, Mississippi State, Missouri, Miami, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Penn State, and Ole Miss among others.- Tyler JUCO linebacker Kaden McMahan had a conversation with the Baylor staff yesterday which was his first communication with the staff. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound prospect decommitted from TCU in December following the firing of Joe Gillespie so his recruitment has started over this spring. He went on official visits to Iowa State and Kansas State the past couple days so, if the staff wants him, it will be key for them to get him on campus this weekend before he makes a decision. He is immediately eligible for this season and has four years to play three following a true freshman season that saw him post 29 tackles in seven games. If Baylor pursues him hard and gets him on an official visit then I think the Bears will land him. I like his film but I LOVE that KSU and ISU want him as both of those schools have proven a lot when it comes to identifying and developing good linebackers. He would fit really well as a more proven prospect film wise who also has multiple years of eligibility remaining.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
